Be informed – Don’t Allow Lies and Fear to Win Elections

It’s a lazy Saturday morning in Michigan where the air is chilly, the wind is blowing and the sun is shining and so I muse over the days to come.  Next week, November 4 we have an election to look forward to and in spite of earnest attempts to research the half-truths told by politicians we are left with two evils nationwide (Republican/Democrats). The military-industrialized complex along pharmaceutical interests have bought and paid for our government, locally, regionally and nationally.

“In his farewell address to the nation, President Dwight D. Eisenhower warns the American people to keep a careful eye on what he calls the “military-industrial complex” that has developed in the post-World War II years.” (

I would venture to say the man knew of what he spoke having served in the military and served as one of the great presidents.  One thing seems to be sure no one learns from history, because they don’t listen…I earnestly believe as a nation we need to be informed and stop assuming the head in the ground like an ostrich stance. Stop bending over…

Regarding what we put up with now I base my observations on what relative news I can listen to and that includes the “national” news media, albeit they are part of the problem of mis-information

Listening to “Live on Livestream” Thom Hartmann’s show who produces a show “Free for All Fridays”, it is relevant, informative and you get to hear from people from all over.  It’s fascinating what you learn when you seek out accurate information, for example a gentleman from “Oregon Right to Know”, Dave Rosenfeld spoke of the money pouring into that state to fight legislation demanding labeling GMOs in food.

“There are currently 64 countries around the world that require the labeling of genetically modified foods. This includes all of the nations in the European Union, Japan, Australia, Brazil, Russia, and China.”(  So my question is if the world does it why can’t we?  Answer: MONEY!!! Say what you want it is my view the actions of those who have it all want the rest of us dead, out of their way.  Our food poisoned , medical system works to keep us on toxic drugs that eventually kill us (pharmaceutical) and if that doesn’t work there are TAXES!!!

Ok some may say this is overkill on my part, I say assume the upright position and look at things as they are, BUT with the determination to make a difference.  Vote, but know who you are voting for; if you feel there aren’t any good options then fight to get “big money” out of government then we can call it “a government for the people by the people” again.
