“Tribal” or “First Nation” people are referred to as Indigenous. Here in the states that commonly refers to the “Native” American community or American “Indians”; another definition would say “originating or occurring naturally in a particular place”, used as a noun the word aboriginal is also included in the defining of the word indigenous. More definitions very similar in tone, i.e. inhabiting or existing in a land from the earliest times or before colonist (of human species, animals and plants). These two words indigenous and/or aboriginal for conversation sake can be used interchangeably to identify those first people that were part of the land occupied called North/South America including the United States.
The definitions allow clarity in my observations and while not wanting to offend I am sure some will be because of their personal blindness and institutionalized brain drain referred to as the American educational system; indoctrinating all that go through the process to be void of the ability to think rationally or have a critical thought. Trust what you’ve been taught and obey the rules and everything will be alright, that is the lie we have all bought into. But many are not so willingly any more to continue in the brain drain process many are waking up. Nevertheless let us be mindful of the trauma experienced by our Indigenous brothers and sisters and how far we have come to rise above the misinformation or not.
My “Black” (for the sake of conversation) Indigenous family have been traumatized for centuries and the indoctrination process referred to as the “American Education System” has stymied the psychological growth of all within the borders of these United States.
Let’s look at the word race: “Contemporary scholars agree that “race” was a recent invention and that it was essentially a folk idea, not a product of scientific research and discovery. This is not new to anthropologists. Since the 1940s when Ashley Montagu argued against the use of the term “race” in science, a growing number of scholars in many disciplines have declared that the real meaning of race in American society has to do with social realities, quite distinct from physical variations in the human species. I argue that race was institutionalized beginning in the 18th century as a worldview, a set of culturally created attitudes and beliefs about human group differences.” Audrey Smedley, Anthropology Newsletter, November 1997, ORIGIN OF THE IDEA OF RACE
This concept of “race” has been used against an entire population of Peoples who have been denied their natural place in history, denied to speak their own language, denied ownership of anything material not to mention not allowed to raise their own children, were made to watch their children being sold, molested and in more instances that are recorded made to watch their babies being used a alligator bait. This people, this “race” of Black Indigenous people to this planet have been subjected to the most brutal and vicious of physical and psychological treatment a man can do to another.
To get a greater perspective on these atrocities I would suggest you view the following videos, because truthfully its not only Blacks who have been lied to (for conversation sake) “Whites” have no clue as to what went on in the days of literal physical slavery. And if you are other than a Black person living in these United States think about how you would feel if this was done to your family.
Now some would ask why aren’t there more Blacks speaking out, why do they take such a docile position when so much wrong has been done to them? Know that there are more who would stand up if there were a stronger foundation for them to stand on. It does not matter that every time this nation of Blacks raise themselves up there are those (Whites) who would rather see them dead than allow them the space to be left alone and pursue their dreams. It’s 2015 and “White Supremacy” has taken on another look, same devious policies, same attitude towards those other than themselves, same hate in their hearts, only now they have written stronger laws to keep Blacks incarcerated, paying fines, living below what is classified as poverty levels, working jobs with no future.
People, at some point we must wake up and “inner” stand the complexities of the bull crap and how deep the rabbit hole goes to keep us misinformed, distrusting of everyone and the perpetual bombardment of propaganda piped through the television, radio, news media on all levels. You can go to YouTube and search corrupt news media and a crop of videos will come up to view; (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=corrupt+news+media) just a small example of the ample information out there.
Additionally there are mountains of research papers, essays, medical research on “misinformation”. Here is an article that might spur some interest in this subject. Planting Misinformation in the Human Mind: A 30-year Investigation of the malleability of Memory, written by Elizabeth F. Loftus Department of Psychology and Social Behavior, University of California–Irvine, Irvine, California 92697-7085, USA (Planting misinformation in the Human Mind)
We have all been lied to whites included because the illusion perpetrated on the white mind is equally egregious to what has been done to blacks. “Blacks” as the Eurocentric/American Anglo what to refer to us as in inaccurate. The truth is we aka “blacks” are the Indigenous People of these continents of this world, in spite of the lies, manipulation and other tricks played on us over the millenia and you whites do not own anything, the Eurocentric elites stole and implanted lies to control everyone.
As an ethnic group all Indigenous people have been discriminated against by invaders who come in forcibly and rape, pillage and dominate the land and the people of that land and immediately begin the indoctrination process; I was going to list the various forms of indoctrination but fundamentally it boils down to torture, instilling fear, horrendous methods of torture meant to scare and intimidate worldwide.
Now lets bring this into the 20th and 21st century stereotyping of Indigenous people has been on the fast track to be demoralized are worthless. Dr. Swygert speaks on the effect of television and how that medium misrepresents society especially the Indigenous community. (Dr Samori Swygert: 10 reasons black people should turn off the TV).
Is there a solution? Of course there is, but the 1% do not want a solution they feed off disillusion, distraction, disorder to name a few. Seriously, in order to turn this around, the laws of the land must be changed, not addressed, not studied, not researched because there is nothing to research. That foolishness about having reviews and panels to investigate the matter is BS, another smoke screen. Yet again until corruption is removed from high places things will remain the same until that same 1% call for total destruction and all out class warfare.
So why you hating? We are all in the same fish bowl and the food and water are running out. It’s time to bring this to a head and stop the madness. Stop the hating! Stop it!
