Let’s start with “the” definition…
“AMER’ICAN, noun A native of America; originally applied to the aboriginals, or copper-colored races, found here by the Europeans; but now applied to the descendants of Europeans born in America.”
This is the original definition in Webster’s Dictionary “1828”. It’s important to acknowledge the “origins” of words because in the origins are truths. Truth’s that testify to the violation of “human” rights hidden and changed for the convenience of the rulers of this country’s machine of so-called laws.
So what do we do with this information? Who are the “we” that need to overstand this information and make conscious changes within their communities. Frankly, it’s all of us; those born and breed on this land…these united states. And, most importantly the acknowledgement of the “original” peoples of this land.
